  THE ROLE MODEL POEM

The Lecture You Deliver
May Be Very Wise And True,

But I'd Rather Get My Lesson
By Observing What You Do,

For I Might Misunderstand You
And The High Advice You Give,

But There Is No Misunderstanding
How You Act And How You Live.

WHAT IS A ROLE MODEL?

Are you a role model in your personal and professional life? Whatever your role may be, Role Model Institute can assist you in developing the right attitudes, skills and goals to be that well-balanced, fulfilled person others look up to and admire. The act of picking a role model consists of first evaluating what are ones own values by answering the question “what kinds of things are important to me?”, then finding a person (usually a famous person) that exhibits a majority of those points and emulating that person. But why do we need someone famous to emulate when we can be that person ourselves?

A positive role model is simply a person who carries out a role demonstrating values, ways of thinking and acting, which are considered good in that role. Parents can be role models for helping their children learn adult ways. It was cited by important philosophers and theologians as the primary duty of a ruler – including the head of a family or the owner of a business. Are you ready to make a positive behavior change to create a more purposeful and well-balanced life?

Role Model Institute will provide you with the process for answering that question - “what kinds of things are important to me?” , then use that self-evaluation to develop goals for achieving those important things. By looking into your attitudes and how they were developed, developing leadership and success skills and goals, this self-evaluation, self-development and self-leadership model will aid you in becoming a role model in your personal and professional life
